Gorrick Enduro

This weekend's training adventure was the Gorrick Kawasaki Enduro at Deepcut, Surrey:

You could chose how many laps you wanted to do of the 10 mile course. Tash and I did 4 laps - swapping second and third place between us throughout the race.

The course was so different from last week's race at Southern XC (see my last post): fast, dry and flowing, technical singletrack, practically for the whole 10 miles.  Great course, but punishing for the back muscles in driving the bike through those endless corners.

Me looking all fresh and happy at the start.
I got the fuelling all wrong and really suffered on the last lap and a half.  In then end, Tash was second and me, third but we both really enjoyed it (well.. I did after about half an hour of wanting to die when I finished because I felt so sick and dizzy with lack of fuel! - a lesson learnt the hard way!)
