It was another beautiful day and the scenery was just stunning.
We set off and held a good pace, with no one seeming to be suffering too much for the previous days' riding.
We were now used to the fact that the hills on the South Downs Way are steep and relentless. Big climb, big descent, big climb, big descent. And that is how it goes for 100 miles. We were getting into our stride though.
There was no pub lunch today but plenty of snack stops en route
And ice cream at Cocking courtesy of Emila who had been having ice cream fantasies for several days..
We left the South Downs Way to head for Cosham where we were getting the train. Tash lead us on the most beautiful route down the valley through shady forest and idyllic English country side.
All fantastic training for our stage race now in only two weeks time!
